Truth about the rule of thirds, symmetry, repetition and rhythm

I know that the actual talk is focusing on photography but the actual topics discussed are not just composition rules but are about the idea of "what the eye/brain likes and does not like" which is as important to Animators as it is to any other visual medium.

You must have a curiosity for things. How does it move? What were they thinking? Why does your cat lift its leg when it licks itself? You can't learn animation from any book, the books just guide your curiosity. If you didn't have that curiosity, then you probably wouldn't have any of those books (or wouldn't read them anyway), and you probably wouldn't have read this...
