Breaking into the Animation Industry

Found these great posts on John Murray's Studio Blog, he goes into detail about how to Break into the Industry and About the Artist and the Consistency of Vision

Joe Murray is an artist, animator , writer and filmmaker. He is perhaps best known for his animated creations Rocko's Modern Life, which aired on Nickelodeon, and Camp Lazlo which aired on Cartoon Network.

Are there any must have's that all animators should have (Animator's Survival Kit, Illusion of Life, Wall-e, blogs, websites) and/or study?
You must have a curiosity for things. How does it move? What were they thinking? Why does your cat lift its leg when it licks itself? You can't learn animation from any book, the books just guide your curiosity. If you didn't have that curiosity, then you probably wouldn't have any of those books (or wouldn't read them anyway), and you probably wouldn't have read this...
