The Animation Mentor Showcase 2011

The Animation Mentor Showcase is out! Always the work is top notch and always amazing.

It is nearly the end of another year, sorry to all that read my blog that I haven't posted in awhile. I just haven't been feeling the animation spirit you know...

Thanks to Frank, Ian and Jane for making me feel welcome the other day when I decided to drop by, no one can make you feel much better than the teachers that taught you the secrets of animation. Good luck to all the soon graduates of the Southbank Institute of Technology.

DO Draw! I don't care if you're no good at drawing, just trying to draw a person forces you to really observe them, so get to it!

Are there any must have's that all animators should have (Animator's Survival Kit, Illusion of Life, Wall-e, blogs, websites) and/or study?
You must have a curiosity for things. How does it move? What were they thinking? Why does your cat lift its leg when it licks itself? You can't learn animation from any book, the books just guide your curiosity. If you didn't have that curiosity, then you probably wouldn't have any of those books (or wouldn't read them anyway), and you probably wouldn't have read this...
