Cool Stuff 1

Hi, I was thinking that this week that I would post about the cool animation stuff I find/buy whatever.

The 1st for this week (free).
Is an Article from The Animation Mentor's Newsletter, about Animating for Games and What to put in your Showreel when applying to Games Company Click here If you don't get the Animation Mentor Newsletter, do sign up for it since it does have some great stuff in it. Click here to Sign-Up

2nd for this week ($78 Australian dollars inc.postage+ tip. buy them together, cheaper!).

Finally! I have got my books from Amazon last night.

I brought both of the 20 Golden Years of Disney Master Classes, Volume 1 and Volume 2: The Walt Stanchfield Lectures by Walt Stanchfield. They are massive books and what I read last night made my jaw drop!

For who doesn't know about this book, here is the description straight from Amazon.

Published for the first time ever, Drawn to Life is a two volume collection of the legendary lectures from long-time Disney animator Walt Stanchfield. For over twenty years, Walt helped breathe life into the new golden age of animation with these teachings at the Walt Disney Animation Studios and influenced such talented artists as Tim Burton, Brad Bird, Glen Keane, and John Lasseter. These writings represent the quintessential refresher for fine artists and film professionals, and it is a vital tutorial for students who are now poised to be part of another new generation in the art form.

I will be bringing them into Tafe on Monday for anyone who would like to see them.

Last/3rd thing for this week (€37).

Thanks Cassie,
for more of your generous advice and sharing of info. It helps keep me on track with animating and thinking, sleeping eating animation! It's great and is such a help to see how someone whos done the course remains focused on animation. Thanks for the info.
