Physics of Animation; would you actually do the course?

I found through the San Jose State University, they are offering this class for free with Alejandro Garcia.

Are there any must have's that all animators should have (Animator's Survival Kit, Illusion of Life, Wall-e, blogs, websites) and/or study?
You must have a curiosity for things. How does it move? What were they thinking? Why does your cat lift its leg when it licks itself? You can't learn animation from any book, the books just guide your curiosity. If you didn't have that curiosity, then you probably wouldn't have any of those books (or wouldn't read them anyway), and you probably wouldn't have read this...
